Preserve the beautiful fall foliage in glass!

In Part 1 of this class, students will learn how to combine powdered glass and dried leaves to create a custom sheet of glass. The leaves will be fired into a sheet of glass that will then be cut up and incorporated into a fused glass dish in Part 2 of the class. Students should bring several pressed flat, dried leaves with stems to class. Fern, maple, oak, ginkgo, ivy, etc. leaves all work well with this process.

Students should bring several pressed flat, dried leaves with stems to class. Leaves can be any color – the glass powder students add will be the final color. Fern, maple, oak, ginkgo, ivy, etc. leaves all work well with this process. Leaves do not need to be a specific color because the color of leave will no longer be visible once the glass is fired, the shape of your leaves will be visible in your finished project.

Part 1 of this class will be held Thursday, October 17th, 5:30-8:00PM and Part 2 will be held Saturday, October 19th, 10:00AM-1:00PM (Must be able to attend both dates to complete project).
